About Us
Offshore Sportsbooks is an independent research site for US bettors looking at offshore sportsbooks. We don't take bets, we're not licensed to operate a sportsbook, and we have no stake in where you eventually sign up. What we do is compare offshore books side by side — with a particular focus on odds quality, since that's the single biggest factor in whether a bettor comes out ahead over the long run — and publish what we find in plain language.
This page explains who we are, how we build our rankings, and where our money comes from. If you've landed here from one of our comparison pages wondering whether you can trust the ratings, this is the page that answers that.
Why We Focus on Odds and Pricing
Anyone can list bonus amounts. Fewer sites go to the trouble of actually comparing how offshore books price their lines against each other — and pricing is where most bettors quietly lose value without ever noticing. A half-point of vig here and there, week after week, adds up to real money over a season. So while we cover bonuses, banking and support like any comparison site, our starting point is always: how competitive is the pricing on point spreads, moneylines, totals, and player props, and does the book offer reduced-juice lines or higher limits for bettors who shop around?
How We Build Our Rankings
Every offshore sportsbook on our list is assessed against the same set of criteria. No operator can pay to move up the list, and commission arrangements never factor into a score — a book that pays us nothing and a book that pays us a referral fee are scored on exactly the same sheet.
- Odds and market coverage — how competitive the pricing is across major US sports, and how deep the markets go into props, futures, and live/in-play betting
- Bonus terms — not just the headline offer, but the rollover requirements, minimum odds, time limits, and any games or bet types excluded from clearing it
- Banking and payout speed — deposit and withdrawal options including crypto (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and stablecoins like USDT and USDC), plus typical payout limits and any fees
- Verification requirements — how much KYC documentation a book asks for and at what stage
- Track record — how long the book has operated and what its reputation looks like around actually paying out
- Support quality — availability and responsiveness of customer service channels
We weight these differently depending on the page you're reading — a page built around high odds will lean harder on pricing and market depth than a page about welcome bonuses, for example. Where a topic is covered in more depth elsewhere on the site, we link out to it rather than repeating it, such as our page on responsible gambling tools.
What "Offshore" Actually Means for a US Bettor
Every sportsbook we cover — including Lucky Rebel, Bovada, BetOnline, BetNow, Everygame, BetUS, Sportsbetting, Xbet, MyBookie and ApuestaHoy — is licensed outside the United States, typically in jurisdictions such as Curaçao, Panama, or Costa Rica, and none of them are regulated by any US state gaming authority. That's a distinction we're upfront about on every page, not just this one.
This matters because it changes what protections apply if something goes wrong. A regulated US sportsbook operates under state oversight with defined dispute processes, fund segregation rules, and licensing bodies a player can complain to. Offshore books sit outside that system. If a payout is delayed or a dispute arises, a US bettor doesn't have access to the same regulatory recourse. We don't sugarcoat that, and we'd encourage anyone reading our reviews to check their own state's current laws before deciding whether to use an offshore book at all.
Our Independence and How We Earn Money
Offshore Sportsbooks earns revenue through affiliate relationships with some of the sportsbooks listed on this site — if you click through and sign up, we may receive a commission. That arrangement never decides where a book lands in our rankings. Odds quality, payout reliability, and bonus terms move a book up or down our list; a commission check does not. When a book falls short on payout speed or has a shaky reputation, we say so, even where we have a commercial relationship with it.
Betting Comes With Real Risk
Nothing on this site should be read as a promise of winning, a reliable way to make money, or a guaranteed "lock." Sports betting outcomes are uncertain by nature, and offshore books carry the added risk that a payout could be delayed or, in rare cases, refused — a risk that simply doesn't exist in the same way with a regulated US operator. If you're paying or withdrawing in crypto, factor in price volatility between the time you deposit and the time you cash out.
We only write for adults of legal betting age — 21 or older, or the minimum age set by the book in question, whichever is higher. If gambling stops being enjoyable or starts affecting your finances, relationships, or wellbeing, free confidential help is available in the US through the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-GAMBLER. Offshore books generally offer thinner responsible gambling and self-exclusion tools than regulated US operators, so it's worth building your own limits before you deposit anywhere. Our responsible gambling page has more on setting those limits.
